BMET Coordinator functions as primary administrative contact between other departments and the Biomedical Engineering Department. BMET Coordinators develops, directs, organizes, and manages overall operations and distribution of resources (staffing, budgets, and outside vendor services) of the biomedical engineering equipment support services program. BMET Coordinator participates in decision support activities related to problem diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance of patient care and other equipment. BMET Coordinators must participate in the development of annual goals and objectives related to supporting the growth and development of services in response to the equipment support needs of the organization.

Position:

Coordinator, Biomed Instrument

Shift:

Day Shift- 8am-4:30pm- rotating on call/ Occassional weekend

Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years biomedical experience required.
  • Minimum of one-year related data base experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education:

  • Candidates for this position require a combination of training, education, and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the above duties.
  • Associate degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate engineering discipline preferred.
