The Coordinator, Spiritual Care functions as an integral member of the hospital interdisciplinary team to manage the Spiritual Care Team and activities of the Spiritual Care Program. This role carries out these duties in compliance with the philosophy and policies of the hospital. The position focuses on the spiritual and psychosocial needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff, including volunteers, and ensures provision of spiritual education and training as appropriate for the organization.

You will coordinate specialized religious needs of patients as liaison with community clergy and will participate in regularly scheduled planning and management meetings with Spiritual Care Team. Teaming up with Hospital colleagues, you will be recognized as and deemed the official participant of the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team of the Hospital.

Position:
Coordinator, Spiritual Care
Shift:
Day shift- 20 hours/week (Monday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Wednesday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, and Friday 11:30 am - 3:30 pm)
Experience:
Experience in an inter-faith environment - required-Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital environment (preferably in a chaplaincy role or spiritual/pastoral care provider) - required-Administrative / management experience ' preferred-Spiritual care experience in a community of faith- preferred.
Education:
Formal Education in the following areas:
-Resolve through Sharing (RTS) ' (or within 12 months of hire) preferred
-Bereavement: dynamics of loss and grief preferred
-Crisis theory and intervention preferred
-Pastoral counseling – preferred.
Licensures/Certifications:
Board Certified Chaplain by one of the following preferred:
-Association for Professional Chaplains (APC)
-National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC)
-National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC)
