Teaching Assistant - Percussion (Summer)

Position Overview


Join us in the summer of 2026 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity and nurturing talent in the fast paced environment of camp. We are seeking creative and dedicated Percussion Teaching Assistants who embody our core values and are ready to assist students in all programs and divisions, as well as faculty. You’ll play a major role in guiding students to their meetings, auditions, assisting with classes and rehearsals and facilitating practice session schedules, as well as having the opportunity to perform on campus.


What You Get To Do



  • Work closely with the Area Coordinator and the Assistant Director of Music to facilitate accurate scheduling and coverage of practice sessions for Junior and Intermediate students.

  • Provide coverage for Arts Counselor practice sessions on their day off and on Mondays during the week.

  • Provide appropriate guidance, mentorship and support to students concerning practice habits and daily assignments.

  • Assist with and participate in rehearsals, coaching and performances of the Junior Wind/Brass/Percussion program and the Intermediate large ensembles.

  • Assist faculty with auditions, lessons, classes, and chamber music as directed.

  • Serve as a liaison between students and Area Coordinator.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Area Coordinator or Assistant Director of Music.

  • Availability from 6/27/2026 - 8/9/2026


  • Prepared to live in a residence hall with a roommate. While we offer accessible housing accommodations, please note that due to the rustic nature of our camp, these options are limited

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to new situations, quickly troubleshoot, and work well with others

  • Ability to work independently

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Music by time of employment

  • Experience in Percussion applied teaching
