Mechanical Engineer
Abramson Engineering, LLC is looking to hire an energetic mechanical engineer into our EDMP Program (Engineering Development and Mentorship Program). This program is for approximately the first six months of full-time employment at the company and teaches young engineers all about the design of mechanical, electrical, lighting, and plumbing (MEP) systems for commercial buildings. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer who is interested in the architecture & engineering and building sciences field.

Our EDMP program for MEP Engineering is a unique one-of-a-kind program which includes:
- Part day training and part day working on real projects.
- Webinar training to learn design across all three disciplines: mechanical – electrical – plumbing.
- Code training seminars.
- Partner up with a mentor.
- Weekly Lunch N’ Learns to meet manufacturer representatives.
- Several factory tours throughout the year to learn about the equipment that make buildings work.
- Weekly on-site surveys to see how real projects are built.
- Annual trip to winter ASHRAE conference and AHRI product Expo.
At the completion of the program, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Program management and collaboration with the entire design team of architects, engineers, building owners, and manufacturers.
- Perform job site visits – pre-design field work, pre-construction, during construction and final inspection.
- Perform mechanical calculations, code research and design HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Prepare HVAC and plumbing construction drawings using Autocad and REVIT.
- Design power and lighting systems.
- Specify and apply smart building controls to each project.
- Contact the manufacturer’s representatives to help with selection and specify equipment.
- Complete Energy Code Calculations (Comcheck).

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar discipline, with a minimum of 3.5 GPA.
- Interest in MEP engineering and construction field.
