Are you a passionate Physical Therapy Assistant looking to elevate patient care? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll help Physical Therapists provide physical therapy treatments and procedures, advocating for patient recovery and contributing to our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients as they practice exercises or functional activities.
- Observe patients during treatments to evaluate data and provide results to the physical therapist.
- Confer with physical therapy staff to discuss and evaluate patient information for coordinating treatment.
- Communicate with and instruct caregivers and family members on patient therapeutic activities.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring according to positioning requirements.
- Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, and modality treatments.
- Fit patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Associate’s degree or certification from an approved physical therapy program.
- Skills: Excellent customer service, patient care skills, and basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Experience: Clinical experience included in course study; long-term care experience preferred.
- Physical Readiness: Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, positioning, and prolonged standing.
