Health & Performance Specialist

NOVA Body Lab is seeking a Health & Performance Specialist to join our growing health optimization and performance testing studio in Falls Church, Virginia.

This position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, athletic training, physical therapy, health sciences, or related fields who are passionate about helping clients better understand their health, body composition, metabolism, bone health, and performance.

The Health & Performance Specialist will deliver testing services, educate clients, support client success, and play a key role in the growth of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Testing & Service Delivery

• Conduct DEXA body composition and bone density scans.
• Conduct VO₂ max and resting metabolic rate assessments.
• Assist clients with and guide them through red light therapy services, ensuring proper use and understanding.
• Guide clients through testing and treatment procedures while ensuring a safe, professional experience.
• Explain testing methodologies, procedures, and results in a clear and approachable manner.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ensure testing equipment and treatment areas are clean, organized, and operating properly.

Client Success & Business Development

• Build strong relationships with clients and deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Respond to prospective client inquiries and assist clients in selecting appropriate services.
• Follow up with prospective and existing clients.
• Educate clients on available services, packages, memberships, and promotions.
• Support client retention and long-term engagement.
• Contribute to studio growth through excellent service, communication, and relationship-building.

Studio Operations

• Open and close the studio.
• Manage appointment schedules and client communications.
• Maintain studio organization, cleanliness, and readiness.
• Assist with inventory management and operational tasks as needed.
• Represent NOVA Body Lab with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• A genuine passion for health, wellness, fitness, and helping others improve their quality of life.
• Interest in body composition analysis, metabolism, longevity, performance optimization, and preventative health.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
• A professional, polished, and client-focused approach to service.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence using technology and learning new software platforms.
• Dependable, responsible, and capable of managing studio operations independently.
• Flexibility to work a part-time schedule (future ability to transition to full-time), including occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred 

• Experience in fitness, wellness, healthcare, rehabilitation, sports performance, hospitality, or consultative sales.
• Experience working directly with clients in a customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to build relationships, educate clients, and recommend appropriate services.
• Familiarity with CRM, scheduling, or client management platforms.
• Coursework, training, or professional experience in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Health Sciences, or related fields.
• ARRT certification and/or ISCD Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) certification.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, confident, curious, and passionate about helping people improve their health. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with clients, explaining health and performance concepts, and creating an outstanding experience from start to finish.

Training will be provided for all NOVA Body Lab equipment, testing protocols, and service offerings.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $22-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
