Licensed Professional Counselor II - Psychiatric Day Prog Geriatric

Summary:

Provides patients of the CHRISTUS with a Mental Health Evaluation. Provides patients and families of CHRISTUS with supportive group activities and individual and/or family counseling as appropriate. Provides consultation with CHRISTUS professionals, medical staff, and other relevant individuals as necessary.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides patients and families of CHRISTUS Hospital with individual and/or family counseling as appropriate

  • Provides patients of CHRISTUS Hospital with a Mental Health Evaluation, including appropriate assessments, with report

  • Provides patients and families of CHRISTUS Hospital with supportive group activities

  • Provides consultation with CHRISTUS Hospital professionals, medical staff, and other relevant individuals as necessary

  • Participates in program development by providing ideas and research on selected topics

  • Strictly adheres to the legal and ethical professional standards

  • Participate in professional seminars, conferences, and workshops in an effort to remain aware of current trends and issues related to counseling and sub-specialty

  • Utilize assessment data to ascertain psychosocial risk factors and develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.

  • Responsible for implementing clinical interventions that promote, maintain, or restore mental health, effect rehabilitation and facilitate developmental progression.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • Master's degree required 

Experience

  • Minimum of three years' experience

 Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications


  • Current LPC in state of employment

  • BLS

Work Schedule:

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
