Product Development Specialist 

Fulltime - Based in the Midwest or Northeast (USA)

The purpose of this position is to lead all Product Development activities in the primary areas of Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and the Northeastern states as well as secondary areas of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri are fully covered through internal and external trials. The candidate will have the responsibility to trial and develop new products advising and supporting sales with technical knowledge and precommercial trialing. For this position, Hazera is seeking a professional, result-oriented, and highly committed individual. You will be a member of the commercial division and will work closely with the East Coast Sales Manager and the PD Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, coordinate and or execute PD activities and trial programs in your area.
• Responsible for all crops and products suitable for your territory.
• Responsible for Product Development trials from beginning to end, thus sowing until the end of the cycle.
• Coordinate Product Development activities with all internal stakeholders (internationally), as well as external partners and key customers.
• Collect and process trial evaluation data.
• Advise and or solve technical product issues.
• Support and participate in demonstration trials, field days, and open-day events.

Requirements:                                                                                            

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience with an agronomical background in the vegetable seed business.
• Proven knowledge of field trials, including trial setup and field evaluations.
• Expertise in MS Office.
• Possesses analytical skills, being organized and strong decision-making capabilities.
• Commercial aptitude and proactiveness. Elevated level of autonomy on agenda and travel planning.
• Willingness to travel on-, and off-season to support the team in other respective territories.
• Willingness to work under variable environmental conditions associated with field trial work.
• Flexible working hours throughout the growing seasons.
• English - Minimum professional level (spoken and written).
• Driver’s license.
