Summary of position:

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of Pharmacy and with latitude for independent judgment and initiative, fulfill pharmacy warehouse distribution and receiving orders, assist in maintaining pharmacy stock, and assemble packages for New York City initiatives.

 

Detailed Tasks:

  • Collect, review and process all FTS and Narcan pharmacy warehouse orders (Distribution and Receiving).
  • Assist in the maintaining of pharmacy inventory which includes but is not limited to: medication reconciliation, barcoding of items and notify supervisor of low and out of stock items.
  • Order distribution data collection and reporting.
  • Track expiration dates of medications and kits.
  • Assemble packages for New York City initiatives.
  • Assist in Data entry of all items received for FTS and Narcan.
  • Responsible for documenting Daily Receiving tracker.
  • Performs pharmacy-related clerical tasks.
  • Assists with assembling blue bags for Narcan program.

 

Department Preferences:

  • Warehouse inventory management/distribution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or,
  2. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
