Job Description
Our employee-owners enjoy a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. We are currently seeking a Valuation Analyst to join us in our Cedar Rapids, IA office. Analysts will gain extensive experience working across multiple teams on a variety of client engagements including ESOP valuation, ESOP transaction advisory and valuation/financial opinions. Analysts are responsible for developing financial models and analysis for a variety of engagements. We operate in an entrepreneurial environment and team members are given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit.
What you will be doing:
- Develop financial models and provide analytical support for valuation engagements
- Prepare client deliverables including valuation reports and presentations with guidance
- Review, organize, and manage client data in preparation for due diligence
- Participate in meetings with partners and clients
- Research and compile market data utilizing CapitalIQ and other firm resources
- Adhere to Prairie’s document retention, time tracking, and client confidentiality policies
What do we look for in candidates?
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree or certification (CPA, CFA), preferred.
- Strong work ethic and personal integrity with the willingness to travel and work extended hours to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- General understanding of the valuation analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and work within tight timelines in a team environment.
- In-office position to foster skill development, personal leadership and team collaboration.
