Valuation Analyst - Cedar Rapids, IA

Job Description

Our employee-owners enjoy a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.  We are currently seeking a Valuation Analyst to join us in our Cedar Rapids, IA office. Analysts will gain extensive experience working across multiple teams on a variety of client engagements including ESOP valuation, ESOP transaction advisory and valuation/financial opinions. Analysts are responsible for developing financial models and analysis for a variety of engagements. We operate in an entrepreneurial environment and team members are given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop financial models and provide analytical support for valuation engagements
  • Prepare client deliverables including valuation reports and presentations with guidance
  • Review, organize, and manage client data in preparation for due diligence
  • Participate in meetings with partners and clients
  • Research and compile market data utilizing CapitalIQ and other firm resources
  • Adhere to Prairie’s document retention, time tracking, and client confidentiality policies

What do we look for in candidates?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree or certification (CPA, CFA), preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and personal integrity with the willingness to travel and work extended hours to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • General understanding of the valuation analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and work within tight timelines in a team environment.
  • In-office position to foster skill development, personal leadership and team collaboration.
