At iCode Pleasanton, we are dedicated to fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in our students through hands-on STEM experiences. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to lead our Robotics Competition team (EX Robotics/First Lego League etc.,) and guide students through the exciting world of robotics.

Job Description:
As the  Robotics Competition lead tutor, you will be responsible for mentoring and teaching students in the design, construction, and programming of robots to compete in Robotics competitions (VEX Robotics/First Lego League etc., ). Your role will include preparing students for competitions, teaching engineering principles, and fostering teamwork and innovation in a fun, educational environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging robotics lessons focusing on Robotics competition  (Vex Robotics, First Lego league etc.,) guidelines and standards.

Mentor students in the design, building, and programming of robots (Vex Robots and other similar robots).

Prepare students for regional, state, and national Robotics competitions.

Qualifications:

Previous experience with VEX Robotics and/or similar robotics programs.

Strong knowledge of robotics concepts, including mechanical engineering, programming, and design.

Teaching experience or coaching in a STEM-related field is preferred but not required.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students in learning.

Passion for inspiring and guiding students to succeed in robotics competitions and related challenges.

Ability to work with students of varying skill levels and provide individual support when needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with VEXcode V5 or VEX Robotics programming.

Ability to troubleshoot and assist students in solving mechanical and programming challenges.

Experience in leading or coaching teams for robotics competitions.
